Art
Here at Kennedy-Powell, we use an online gallery called Artsonia. This gallery is a free service, but the site does have items for sale featuring your child’s artwork. this is a great resource if you are looking for unique gifts. A portion of all sales come back to the art department here at KP.
Be sure and stay up to date by frequently checking artsonia.com for your child's artwork.

PLTW Lab
Kennedy-Powell Elementary (KP) is part of Project Lead the Way (PLTW) STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), named Launch. KP is now one of only 97 Distinguished PLTW elementary schools in the United States and one of only two in Texas. KP was eligible to be a Distinguished campus by offering at least two PLTW Launch modules at each grade level, with more than 75% of the student body participates. Maribeth Brown is the PLTW Lead Launch Teacher at KP and she was awarded Teacher of the Year for the state of Texas for the Launch program. All KP students participate in PLTW! This year we will continue to teach at least 2 modules in the upper grades while lower grades will complete at least 3 modules.
Launch is the newest STEM curriculum from the Indianapolis-based non-profit organization, Project Lead the Way (PLTW). Although this is the fifth year of the PLTW Launch curriculum, it is the sixth year it has been at KP. The first year (2013-2014) KP was one of a handful of schools nationwide selected to pilot the PLTW Launch program. PLTW chose pilot schools based on the strength of their science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education programs.
