Welcome, Military Families!

Kennedy-Powell Elementary School proudly welcomes and supports our military-connected families!

We recognize the unique experiences, strengths, and transitions that can come with military life. This page was created to provide military families with helpful information, resources, and connections to support your student and your family throughout your time in our school community.

Military-connected children bring incredible strengths to our classrooms and campus. Many have experienced new schools, communities, states, or even countries; built resilience through change and transitions; developed adaptability and independence; and gained an appreciation for service, community, and helping others.

At Kennedy-Powell Elementary, we are committed to creating a welcoming, connected, and supportive environment where every military-connected student feels seen, valued, and supported.

We proudly support Active-Duty service members, National Guard and Reserve families, Veterans, and Families of the Fallen. Our goal is to help military families navigate school transitions, connect with community resources, and access the supports available to them.

Military Liaisons

Our Military Liaisons are here to help military-connected students and families feel welcomed, connected, and supported at Kennedy-Powell Elementary School.

Military Liaisons help families navigate the school environment, connect with campus and community resources, and access information and support throughout their educational journey. They also help coordinate professional development opportunities for staff to strengthen our understanding of and support for the unique experiences of military-connected students and families.
